Welcome. If you found this page it probably means you also found a small gift that brought you here. That gift may have been a little heart-themed ceramic ornament from me, or it may have been something entirely different from another stranger. Either way, I hope the gift brought a spark of joy to your day.

A Few Thoughts

Even when the world feels chaotic,

When the loudest voices seem to be promoting distrust and division,

Know that there are many, many more of us who value love, kindness and connection above all else,

No matter your religion, skin color, political lean, economic status, or chosen pronoun,

Together we can make a difference,

One small random act of kindness at a time.

If you would like to pay it forward, know that any small random act of kindness can make a difference in someone's day. It might be something as simple as offering a warm smile, a sincere compliment, or a helping hand to a stranger. It might mean picking up a piece a trash on a local trail or sidewalk. Or, it might mean using one of your own special talents to make a small gift for a friend, neighbor, or even a random stranger.

If you decide to leave a gift for a stranger, feel free to direct them here so they too can read this message. You can include the page address (bluequarry.com/100hearts) or attach the same tag and/or QR code you received with your gift. Feel free to sign it or keep it anonymous, that's up to you.

Thanks for your time. Wishing you love, always.

More About this Project

The world has been feeling very chaotic and divided to me for a while now. The voices of those spewing distrust and division are loud, but they are not the majority. We are. I think I figured out how I can find peace in my own heart, at least most of the time. As corny as it sounds, I believe love is the answer regardless of the question. It's that idea that gets me through the difficult times.

I have been trying to figure out how just one person with no real voice can make a difference. Then I watched a video about the "Friendly Ghost Project" by a creator on YouTube (Maddie Taylor) and that gave me the answer I was looking for. This young American woman living in Germany is a new potter. She made 100 little ceramic ghosts and then left them in random spots around Germany (just before Halloween) for people to find.

As I am just starting on a pottery journey myself, that idea really resonated with me. What better way to spread a message of love and acceptance than with random acts of kindness? For me that will mean leaving 100 small heart-themed ceramic objects around my city for complete strangers to find. It may take me a while, but eventually I will get to 100. And did you know that if each of 100 gift receivers were to somehow "pay it forward" to just 2 unique people one day, and each of those people were to pay it forward to 2 more unique people the next day, everyone in the world would have received a gift of kindness in less than a month. It's just a little thing, but I believe little things can matter.
